Positions are designed to provide a wide range of practical, programmatic, and administrative experience relating to environmental and conservation issues of national and global significance. Specifically, interns will be expected to provide detailed research, writing, and general support for our ongoing campaigns. In addition to providing the opportunity to participate in many aspects of our work, COARE offers interns exposure to government agencies, non-governmental groups, and other organizations involved in ocean conservation and the policy-making process. COARE is looking for immediate assistance from a motivated individual to assist its public relations and communications efforts. The intern will participate in a variety of promotional projects, and will help gather organizational press through high profile media outlets. The intern would also assist COARE's marketing efforts by creating and leading efforts that lead to new supporter acquisition, search engine optimization, and increased web traffic. The successful applicant will spend a considerable portion of his/her time with media tracking and reporting, outreach calls, e-mail, and web updates. Other opportunities will be available to candidates who exhibit greater experience in this field.

Compensation: These are unpaid internships. No benefits or relocation costs are provided. We welcome use of internships for academic credit, thesis, or practicum work towards degree or certificate programs. Students, recent graduates, and graduate students are encouraged to apply.
